Finance Minister Mantega says tax imbalances must end
Guido Mantega, Brazil's Finance Minister reaffirmed on Tuesday this week that the tax collection discrepancies between the States must end. They are harmful to the economy of the whole country, he claimed.
The Minister went on to emphasise the importance of a new law, Resolution 62 which seeks to equalise collection of the Tax on the Circulation of Goods and Services (ICMS) across the whole Country.
This will end irregular tax hikes by various state authorities and will benefit both individual citizens and corporate bodies alike, This will include those concerned with trying to attract both domestic and international investment.
