International Guitar Festival in Brazilia
Once again Brazil and its capital city have featured in the international music scene. Throughout the last week of July, Brasilia hosted the 6th International Guitar Festival, organised by 'Brasiliense Guitar' and of course the celebrated musician Fabiano Borges.
Musicians at the forefront of the 'guitar world' present this year included: Rogério Pedro Aguiar Winner of the Festival last year, Robert Trent (Virginia USA) and Guiseppe Zinchiri (Italy) as well as many others.
As always, another important theme of the festival is to encourage the development of new talent and help younger musicians realise their potential. It is for this reason that so much weight is given every year to the contest at the Festival for little-known performers to come forward.
