Since its launch in 2009, Minha Casa Minha Vida has attracted a number of investment companies from around the world, offering a range of different investment models, conditions and returns.
Many UK and European investment companies have started offering Minha Casa Minha Vida investment opportunities. However, unlike other UK based companies who are offering investment opportunities in the scheme, EcoHouse Developments are actual developers. We have our very own three-hundred-strong team of construction workers, engineers, sales staff and legal and administrative staff based in Brazil, the UK, Singapore and Canada. This means we are able to offer one of the best and most complete brazil investment models on the market.
Many UK and European developers applied for a license to build under the Minha Casa Minha Vida Scheme in Brazil. However, only a handful actually qualified, due to strict background checks by the Brazilian Government and the funding bank CAIXA. The task of building so many homes in a short period of time left the qualifying developers in the position of needing additional funding. The best solution was to attract private investors, which we have done very successfully.
The MCMV investment is a unique arrangement. Unlike other property investments, people entering this scheme can simply invest in one home and when it is built and sold onto the waiting family, the money plus profit is returned to the investor. This all happens within twelve months, meaning the investment is not restricted just to high-end investors and a family or individual with only minimal savings (previously earning nothing) can now make an attractive profit.
The eventual sale price (or ‘exit price’) is set by the Brazilian government so the ROI (Return On Investment) is also a set amount.
